I’ve started to treat all non-screen time as screen recovery time. I crave silence, for as long as I can get it. I like to read, write, and be alone with my thoughts. Reading is one of the few activities (along with exercise and time outside) that snaps my mind back into place. All that focused thinking and questioning helps replenish one’s intellectual capital.
